Rancho Zabaco Zinfandel Sonoma Heritage Vines 2010—An abundance of black fruit and spice aromas, demonstrating the classic and distinctive characteristics of Zinfandel. The soft, plummy, and jammy flavors and textures make this wine not only approachable, but also versatile.
Although a bit unassuming and low in drive, this wine's aromas still manage to convey a reasonable sense of varietal fruit. On the palate, however, the wine never gets going and comes up somewhat heavy and blunt with only a minimal bit of background fruit.
