The wine is produced from the finest Rkatsiteli grapes harvested in Gurjaani appellation vineyards in Kakheti region, and fermented in Qvevri according to ancient Georgian traditions. No filtration or chemical additives were used in production. Small presence of sediment is normal. Alapiani Winery has been making wine for more than 20 years, but they established the company and started bottling wine only in 2011. Alapiani Winery has vineyards in Kartli and also Kakheti region, producing: Tavkveri, Shavkapito and Cabernet Sauvignon from Kartli. Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane and Saperavi grape varieties in Kakheti region.
