The Eastside Road Neighbors Pinot Noir always shows a darker fruit profile, when compared to its Westside Road counterpart. Aromas of blackberry and black cherry immediately fill the nose, while dried rose petal, mushroom, mocha and cherry cordial further add to the complexity. Succulent in the mouth, the black fruit character and softly textured tannin creates an elegant offering, which can be enjoyed in the near term but will certainly develop well with additional bottle aging. Over the years, we have been fortunate to work with many great vineyards that span a diverse and varied view into a region that many would call the heartland of California Pinot Noir. Our goal is to create a wine that shows the essence of this iconic appellation. No matter the vintage, there is often a recognizably complex mouthfeel, bright red fruit, and texture to the wine. This vintage displays beautiful cranberry and boysenberry notes, with layered baking spices, complemented by a hint of vanilla on the finish.
