The 2012 Yarden Merlot presents aromatic red and black fruit characters with hints of fresh herbs, orange blossom and chocolate. This full-bodied Merlot displays good concentration of flavor and an attractive lingering finish. While enjoyable now, the 2012 Yarden Merlot will improve in the bottle in the coming years, and remain in great drinking condition for up to a decade from vintage. Dry red wine. The grapes were harvested from the oldest of the winery's plots. Aged for about 22 months in French oak barrels, most of them new. Characterized by an extremely high acidity level, allowing the wine to continue to age for years. The wine has an 'old world' substance, and is suitable for heavy meat meals.

All fruit is hand-harvested, sorted and 100% destemmed. Vinification takes place in thermo-regulated cement cuves over four to five weeks.
