Oak aging has enhanced the primary fruit profile with engaging aromas reminiscent of cloves, cardamom, and dark-roast coffee with hints of tobacco smoke.

The wine opens up with alluring aromas of freshly peeled mandarin orange, peach nectar, and honeydew melon. Hints of white citrus blossom, marzipan and toasted hazelnut add a nice layer of complexity.

Dark cherry notes lead from the glass and are leavened by hints of dried thyme and mandarin orange juice. The power-packed palate reveals this wines true heritage and breed.

This is the fifth vintage to come exclusively from the Martinelli Charles Ranch, two miles in from the Pacific at 1,115 ft elevation.
