In 1992 Thomas Haag, the son of the celebrated Brauneberg winemaker Wilhelm Haag, took over the Schloss. It was already very good, but Thomas has made it a Champions League domain by working hard.

This is an "estate wine" that far out-classes its name. Picked from the "Zuckerberg" plot of vines on the Niedermenniger Herrenberg, harvested early to catch maximum freshness and vitality, it combines cool marine character and a touch of creaminess with a firm, lip-smacking finish. Incredible quality at the entry level.

Johannes uses his long-standing relationships with growers around the Mittelmosel to source quality grapes for these cuvees.

For the lover of Riesling that isn't dry. This Kabinett's vines comes mostly from the Himmelreich single vineyard in the town of Zeltingen. Full of blue slate soils, the mineral adds a vibrant freshness to this juicy, gushing white wine that has a good dose of orchard fruit and sweetness on the palate.

The nose is cool styled, clear, animating; floral tones, a bit of hay, citrus zest, white peaches. Juicy, with some attack as well; peaches, flint stone, a hint of grapefruit in the finish.

Aromas of peach, apricot, apple and citrus fruits. This delicate, subtle, and sweet wine shows nuances of tropical fruit with a touch of salty minerality and balanced by a crunchy acidity.
