This wine is made from 37% Vermentinu, 20% Rossala Bianca, 19% Biancu Gentile, 14% Genovese, and 10% Brustiano. We've had Vermentinu, or at least Vermentino, but not any of the other grapes. This is extremely ripe and indeed reminds me more of cabernet than pinot with good detail and obvious minerality to the sweet, powerful and sappy flavors that offer real size and weight. Garnet red. On the nose there are scents of cherries, wild strawberries, caramel. Fresh and well balanced, good length on the palate. The grapes are handpicked, sorted and transported to the winery in small containers to avoid crushing berries and premature oxidation. They are completely de-stemmed and put into vats open stainless steel, the temperatures being controlled by thermoregulation.
