For the lover of Riesling that isn't dry. This Kabinett's vines comes mostly from the Himmelreich single vineyard in the town of Zeltingen. Full of blue slate soils, the mineral adds a vibrant freshness to this juicy, gushing white wine that has a good dose of orchard fruit and sweetness on the palate.

The nose is cool styled, clear, animating; floral tones, a bit of hay, citrus zest, white peaches. Juicy, with some attack as well; peaches, flint stone, a hint of grapefruit in the finish.

Aromas of peach, apricot, apple and citrus fruits. This delicate, subtle, and sweet wine shows nuances of tropical fruit with a touch of salty minerality and balanced by a crunchy acidity.

Off dry with delicious fruit flavors of peach and apriocots meld together in this classic example of Mosel Riesling.

The single non-local vineyard, Hanspeter is super stoked by the site, which is a half-hour away on the lower hills of the Black Forest, on limestone layered with iron-rich clay, in a strikingly high elevation of almost 2,000 feet.

Volker Schäfer has made his mark as a great German winemaker specializing in red wines. The estate owned by Volker and his father dates back to 1709 and it was his father’s passion for Pinot Noir that lead him to plant vines in the loam and clay slopes of the Rhine. The estate’s 24 acres produce some of the best Pinot Noirs in the Germany and are savagely underpriced.

Fitz-Ritter Gewurztraminer Spätlese is a sumptuous and aromatic wine from Germany, offering a rich bouquet of lychee, rose petals, and exotic spices. This late-harvest wine balances sweetness with acidity, resulting in a palate that is both opulent and refreshing. It pairs beautifully with spicy Asian cuisine, strong cheeses, or fruit-based desserts, showcasing its versatility and complexity.

While Silvaner remains the second most planted grape (after Riesling) in Germany, it has always remained tucked in the shadows. Frank Heyden quietly makes this example from old vines, and the quality shines so brightly that all shadows disappear in a fresh, zesty, mouth-wateringly delicious wash of Silvaner-ish-ness. Juicy and floral from start to finish, this is a great example of coaxing the best from a grape.

An unusual white dry-style Pinot Noir from free-run juice, the wine presents a good firm structure. A perfect match for strong Indian and Asian spiced dishes. Also fantastic with a spiced duck leg, dishes with acidic sauces, roasted vegetables and soft cheeses.

A feinherb or “off-dry” style (around 20-25g/l RS depending on the vintage) named in honor of Johannes’ father, world-renowned winemaker Fritz Hasselbach at the Gunderloch winery. This grows in a very small and special part of Rheinhessen called the Roter Hang meaning the “red hill”.
