Vinas Viejas de Paniza Garnacha 2012
This is a perfect companion for braised roast beef, pork and veal. Likewise it is also good with grilled red meat, spicy ragout, herbed lamb stew and strong cheeses.
This wine is a tribute to the vine and to the old tradition, which is to live in the picturesque village of Paniza. After manual harvesting and stemming the subsequent, the grapes were macerated for fifteen days. The fermentation took place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. After malolactic fermentation, the individual batches were blended and extended for six months in American and French oak barrels. Immediately before bottling filtration took place. The winemaker of Bodegas Paniza use for Viñas Viejas grapes of the oldest vines that age of up to 100 years, and which were then planted on slate soils in almost 850 meters above sea level. This wine is very dark in color.
