Winemaker Philippe Dardenne describes the wine: "Vina Mayor Crianza displays aromas of red fruits balanced with a touch of oak, giving hints of roasted coffe and toast. It has a long, elegant finish." Deep, dark cherry-red color with violet highlights. Open and expressive nose of ripe black fruits, such as cranberries, with balsamic touches and a mineral backgound. Full-bodied and complex palate with a seductive, ripe-tannin style, balanced by fine oak nuances and a lightly toasted caramel toffee. The finish is long and persistent. Pair with grilled red and white meats or spicy dishes.

This allows them to control the quality of the grapes from the vineyard and assures grapes of optimal health and maturity, so that wines with personality, modern style, and elegance can be crafted. As a result, Vina Mayor's wines have repeatedly been awarded prizes by the world's most-prestigious wine guides and top competitions.
