Veramonte Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
Bursting with ripe red-and-black berry fruit flavors, complemented by notes of black pepper and nutmeg, and a long, smooth finish. Pairs beautifully with beef or lamb.
Veramonte Winery, opened in 1998, is located in the pristine Casablanca Valley, one of Chile's premiere winegrowing regions cradled between the soaring Andes and the rugged Pacific Coast. The wild Patagonia lies to the south and the mighty Andes Mountains rises behind them in the east. In this distant winemaker's paradise, 1,000 acres of grapevines are nestled among 11,000 acres of wild land that Veramonte has preserved as a natural greenbelt. Their striking, modern winery was designed by one of Chile's leading architects, Jorge Swinburn. Built for small-lot wine production, the facility ensures individual vineyard blocks can be fermented and aged separately prior to final blending—allowing winemaking to create authentic, vineyard-expressive wines. Nestled in Chile's Colchagua Valley, the family vineyards enjoy the ideal Mediterranean climate for producing wines of great richness and character. Veramonte makes three separate product labels in addition to their main Veramonte label: Primus, Ritual, and Cruz Andina.
