Treana White 2013
Deep gold color. Vibrant floral aromas of citrus blossom and jasmine are followed by elegant flavors of ripe stone fruit, hints of pear, pineapple, and honey overtones. The long, well-balanced finish is matched by a lean acidity that lingers in the mouth.
50% Viognier, 50% Marsanne. Treana Winery, one of five individual labels of Hope Family Wines, is located in Paso Robles at the center of California's Central Coast. The name Treana symbolizes a trinity of natural elements—the sun, the soil, and the ocean elements that make Paso Robles, and the rest of the Central Coast, an exceptional area for growing wine grapes. California's Central Coast continues to evolve with the establishment of vineyards planted to Rhone style varieties and is greatly influenced by the maritime breezes of the Pacific Ocean. This cooler climate maintains balance and bright acidity in the wine. The Treana blends represent a fresh dimension of California's viticultural diversity and Treana White is a blend of Viognier and Marsanne. The fruit is sourced from exceptional vineyard sites throughout the region. Partially barrel fermented, this elegant wine displays floral and spice characteristics, rich texture, and a complex minerality.
