This is a refreshing and exotic semi-dry white wine. With the tropical aroma classic to this variety and its wonderful flowery bouquet, this wine is a surprisingly good accompaniment to Far Eastern cuisine or spicy dishes, in general.
100% Muscat Alexandroni. In 1882, Jonathan Tishbi's grandfather, Michael Chamiletzki set foot upon the land of Zichron Yaakov. He made his first home in nearby Shefeya and was chosen by Baron Edmund de Rothschild to plant and develop vineyards on this land. In 1925, the famous poet Chaim Nachman Bialik visited and gave Michael a new Hebrew family name, "Tishbi"—an acronym of "a resident of Shefeya in Israel." Four generations have passed and Jonathan still remembers harvesting by hand in his family's vineyards and bringing the wagons of grapes to be pressed in the nearby winery. At Tishbi Estate, they still follow the traditional growing methods passed on to Jonathan by his father and grandfather.
