Tio Soto Amontillado
Blend | Spain
Amber-colored sherry with a rich aroma and a full-bodied, nutty (hazelnut), and dry taste
Palomino Fino and Pedro Ximenez. Produced and shipped by the house of Jose de Soto, founded in 1771—the year in which Francisco de Soto came to Jerez where he settled and harvested and produced award-winning sherry and brandy. The business today still remains in the De Soto family assuring guaranteed quality. In 1988, De Soto joined Grupo Garvey. Garvey's winery, Bodegas Garvey, was established in 1780 by William Garvey, an Irish aristocrat from the county of Waterford who in a short space of time managed to turn Garvey into one of the major bodegas of Jerez.
