The Glenlivet Nadurra 16 Year Old

54.7% abv. Bright gold in color. A fresh summer-loke medley of floral and sweet spice aromas enhanced by gentle notes of toasted oak. Smooth and silky on the palate with the sweetness of soft fruits and honeyed flowers. The finish is a dry, oak of considerable length with notes of ginger and hazelnuts.

Nadurra' in Gaelic means natural. Crafted using traditional 19th century methods, unlike most modern whiskies it has not been chill-filtered, giving it more body and a distinctively creamy texture and mouth-feel. After 16 years maturing in forst-fill American oak casks, Nadurra is bottled at cask strength to deliver its rich and rewarding taste. By omitting chill-filtering, we preserve intact the full flavor of the malt, capturing the original character of George Smith's distillery: the pure expression of a great tradition. You may detect a slight haze when adding water or ice; this is a natural reaction due to the omission of chill-filtration.
