100% Nero d'Avola. Intense ruby color with floral and cherry aromas. A firm and powerful structure, a distinct but not intrusive amount of tannins, and a delicate acidity. Pair with poultry and poultry (guinea fowl, duck, turkey), roasted meats, and mature cheeses.
Tenuta Rapitala's name comes from the Arabic word "Rabidh-allah" meaning "River of Allah," after the stream that flows through the vineyards and is testament to the fact that this countryside was cultivated since ancient times. Rapitala strives to craft wines that exhibit the bold flavors and Mediterranean aromas intrinsic to the Sicilian terroir. These wines, like Sicily itself, are the fruit of a marriage of cultures and marked by French elegance and finesse and Sicilian passion and soul, vintage after vintage since 1976. Rapitala's Campo Reale, named after a town close to the estate, is made with Sicily's most traditional grape, the Nero d'Avola. It is a full-bodied wine with an intense color.
