Taft Street Winery Russian River Valley Zinfandel 2006
The grapes for this wine were selected from the 100+ year old Cobblestone Vineyard in the Russian River Valley, located on the gentle rolling hills east of the town of Windsor Like the renegade Bordeaux winemakers known as "Garagisters," Taft Street began in a garage rather than a grand chateaux, stressing quality without pretense. Their handcrafted wines are perfect for any occasion; best enjoyed when surrounded by friends and family. Since 1979, they have carried on the garagistes tradition of innovation and excellence in a chateau-alternative locale. From a backyard Berkeley garage to an old-apple processing plant in Sebastopol, California, the family at Taft Street continues in the garagistes traditions to this day, crafting limited-production, crowd-pleasing wines from select Sonoma County vineyards.
