St Hallett Faith Shiraz 2011

The 2011 Faith Shiraz offers lifted spice and dark cherry aromas, a silky palate of red-berry flavors and a supple chocolaty mouthfeel. Deep red with magenta hues. Vibrant dark cherry and raspberry with underlying spice and chocolate aromas. The red fruits carry through to the palate with a generous juicy opening. This flows into textural territory with smooth, subtle tannins and lingering spice providing a long finish.

It was a leap of faith which inspired a small group of European settlers to leave their homeland and seek the opportunities of the Barossa in 1842. They established small farms and vineyards and started making uniquely Barossan wines which reflected the region's ancient soils and friendly climate. That same faith in the provenance of the wine has sustained the region's grape growers and winemakers for five generations.
