Spring 44 started when two lifelong friends, Russ and Jeff, drank directly from a spring at 9,044 feet in Northern Colorado. The water so cold, so pure, and fresh from the earth tasted extraordinary and provided a visceral connection to nature. On this particular night, inspiration occurred. Russ exclaimed: "This is the best water on earth, it's liquid energy! Do you know what we have here?!" And an idea was born, creating a business called Spring 44, after its namesake.
