A whisky that focuses on the richer side of Benriach's spirit, as well as it's darker smokier side. Aged for 12 years in a combination of bourbon, sherry and marsala casks, the peat smoke is complimented by dried fruit and vanilla from the bourbon and sherry casks, and rich, sweet fruit from the marsala.
Smoke Season is its smokiest whisky of Benriach yet. While Speyside isn't widely known for making peaty whiskies, Benriach has been doing so for years, Matured in a combination of bourbon barrels and virgin oak casks, this one packs a bold flavour profile for sure.
This Port Charlotte 10 year old has been conceived, distilled, matured and bottled on Islay alone. On the palate there is a noticeable coconut, vanilla custard, lemon honey with a finish of fudge, malted barley, orange, and mango.
Aroma is sweet, fruity and floral. Smooth, warming and rounded with a good firm body. Lots of sweet, soft malty flavors evolve on palate, surrounded by toffee and dried apricots. Finish is pleasant and medium-length.
Part of Glen Moray's core range comes this tasty 21 Year Old Portwood expression. The single malt spent much of its maturation in bourbon casks, before it was transferred to Port casks for a finishing period. The fruity Speysider was bottled at 46.3% ABV without chill-filtration.
At full strength, the aroma is fragrant and lightly drying with warming malty notes. on the palate malty toffee sweetness is present throughout with blackcurrants and a fragrant citrus lemongrass tang.
This 26 year old whisky is matured in American and European oak casks at The Glenfiddich Distillery, before the crowning glory: an extended finish in rare and meticulously selected French Cognac casks.
