Sobon Estate Hillside Zinfandel 2013

This is a fragrant, rich, full bodied zin with very forward, fruit driven flavors. It is meant for everyday drinking, but will improve with up to five years of bottle aging. It is a blend of several of our old zinfandel vineyards. This Hillside Zinfandel is one of their perennial favorites. It has aromas and flavors reminiscent of blackberries, cocoa and dark cherries. The wines is made with grapes from some of the best vineyards in the area. Enjoy it with burgers, steaks and roasts.

The Sobon Estate winery started in 1989 when Leon and Shirley Sobon bought each other a second winery for their 30th wedding anniversary present. They purchased the historic D'Agostini winery, one of the oldest in the state. This site was chosen not only for its historical winery, but also its vineyards and vineyard land. The Sobon Estate label launched the estate line of wines from the Sobon Family, the best from their own grapes. The Sobon Estate winery is proud of their sustainable practices: solar power generation, composting of winery and paper waste, maintaining wildlife habitat and natural pest control, cover cropping and erosion control, recycling, and social responsibility.
