Segura Viudas Extra Dry

Segura Viudas Extra Dry is a lively, elegant, cava with a smooth finish. This sumptious and balanced sparkling wine is a refreshing delight for every occasion. Good intensity on the nose with fruity and floral notes well integrated with yeasty aromas, developed during the aging time in bottle. The palate is fruity and elegant, with a touch of sweetness and acidity. A fruity and long finish. Equally well-suited to oysters, spicy foods, and chutneys, or an ideal companion to many desserts.

60% Macabeo, 25% Parellada, 15% Xarel-lo. Segura Viudas dates back to the 11th century. In the beginning, it was an inhabited watching tower that experienced several work extensions, which explains the presence of diverse architectural styles: Visigoth, Romanesque, and Gothic. In the 13th century, the tower lost its military importance and was converted into a masia, a name given to country houses in Catalonia. Segura Viudas produced its first sparkling wines at the end of the 19th century and became a brand in 1959, but it was not until 1969 when it began to market its wines.
