San Patrignano Aulente Bianco 2007
It represents the attempt to produce a well-made white wine using an extensively cultivated international varieties as Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. With its fruity notes it can express pleasantness, complexity and softness. A bright straw yellow, intense and persistent nose and taste that reminds of acacia and citrus fruits.
Pale straw-yellow in the glass, the nose opens with subtle, pleasurable hints which change according to the vintage's particular personality. Sometimes there are the nuances typical of Sauvignon with its delicately grassy notes, or the vintage may be distinguished by Chardonnay's rounded, flavorful perfumes and its overtones of green apple, grapefruit peel and elderberry. Excellent with maltagliati with artichokes, or gnocchi or grilled fish.
