Renwood Winery was established in 1993 in the picturesque Amador County of Northern California, surrounded by the rolling hills and rushing streams of California's Gold Country. They are one of the most respected wine producers in the Sierra Foothills, specializing in Zinfandel. Renwood was acquired by international investors in August 2011 and is now part of a group of companies that includes vineyards, wineries, olive plantations, fresh fruit and dairy farms, etc., in Argentina and Uruguay. The "Ren" in Renwood derives from wren, a small songbird known in legend as "the king of birds."
