Raventos i Blanc De la Finca 2014
De La Finca comes from Raventos i Blanc's old vines planted in glass, between the years 1970 and 1987, facing north and northeast from the Serral hill. The marine fossils characterize the structure and composition of their soil and provide the main source of authenticity to their sparkling wines with a high saline expression.
50% Xarel-lo, 40% Macabeu, and 10% Parellada. The Raventos i Blanc estate, 222 acres of woodland and vineyards in Sant Sadurni d'Anoia, has belonged to the Raventos family since 1497, and passed on intact from generation to generation up to the present day. In 1872 Josep Raventos Fatjo made the first sparkling wine, second fermentation, in the bottle with grapes from their estate. Since then, every generation has dedicated itself to vine growing and to making fine sparkling wines. A project was conceived to give meaning to this estate with its unique terroir: Raventos i Blanc. When Josep Maria Raventos i Blanc and his son Manuel Raventos decided to found this winery at the center of their historic estate in 1984, their dream of creating a premier, global brand became an obsession. New parcels were cultivated on the Serral hill with the objective of recovering the natural balance of the estate and to promote biodiversity.
