Very intense ruby color, almost like cranberry juice. Elegant nose of incense, bay leaves, black pepper, and sandalwood as well as a basket of black cherries and wild blackberry. Mouth filled with fruity notes, roasted coffee, and vanilla that stays in the background with amarena cherry and blackcurrant on the main stage. A beautiful body, soft and rich tannins, and slightly sweet finish with references again to fruits rich in hot spices, cardamom, and incense.
80% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot. Bottled by Le Corti S.p.A., with eight centuries of history in Florence and farmers in Villa Le Corti since 1427. The Sangiovese and Merlot are planted on 14.7 acres in the Chianti Classico area, San Casciano in Val di Pesa, which are full of Pliocene hills rich with river stones. The wine was fermented 16 days in open-air, stainless-steel vats using indigenous yeasts, then aged for 15 months in French barriques and 8 more months in bottle. This wine is dedicated to Tommaso Corsini, a great innovator.
