Pizzorno Winery Tannat Reserva 2008
Dark ruby color with hints of purple. Aroma of plums and wild berries. It is rich and full bodied with flavors of black fruit that linger long on the palate. Delicious now, the wine will continue to improve with bottle age. Delicious with lamb, steak, beef, game, or strong cheeses.
100% Tannat. The soil and climate of southern Uruguay's Canelon Chico region is particularly suited for the cultivation of Tannat. This Tannat Reserva is produced from specially selected grapes from "Block No. 12," the oldest wines in Pizzorno's vineyard. The fruit from these ancient, low-yield vines results in a wine with tremendous depth and concentration.
