Very intense cherry-red color. Fruity with powerful aromas of wild berries and violet flowers. On the palate it is very fleshy, fragrant, and has light mineral notes.
100% Mencia. Produced, elaborated, and estate bottled at Vinos Valtuille. Vinos Valtuille was founded in 1999 by Dimas Garcia but the Garcia family has been making wine since the early 20th century, around 1910. Valdetelle, as it was formerly called, is located at the foot of Castro de la Ventosa, an ancient Roman settlement that has spent centuries sheltering this small Bercian village, where the care for the land and the vine have always gone hand in hand. The vines are between 60 and 100 years old, yield is 2 kg per plant, and the production is 3,000 cases/12ud.
