Leflaive has been producing this cuvee for over 10 years from a single plot in the heart of the vineyard. The wine undergoes primary and secondary fermentation in barrel and is aged for a total of 12 months in on its lees in 25% new oak. Following a gentle fining the wine is bottled and rests in the cellar for a short period prior to release.
100% Chardonnay. The Leflaive family has been rooted in Puligny-Montrachet since 1717. In 1984, Olivier Leflaive launched his own company called Olivier Leflaive Freres with the help of his uncle Vincent and his brother Patrick. He quickly established his own reputation amongst Burgundy's finest. In 1988, Franck Grux took over as a winemaker and still holds this role today. Over the two past decades he was able to establish strong, long-term relationships with the best growers and the quality of the wines is outstanding. Today, Olivier Leflaive Freres, owning about 37 acres of land, is known as a small negociant of high quality with a focus on the whites from the famous villages of Puligny, Chassagne, and Meursault.
