Nederburg Heritage Heroes The Brew Master 2011
A classic blend with rich colors, intense dark-fruit characters, and a hint of cigar box. Complex with juicy and savory notes. Excellent with red meat, casseroles and stews, leg of lamb, roast beef, duck, robust chicken and pasta dishes, hearty soups, or mature cheeses. Can age for 10 to 15 years.
81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 6% Malbec, 4% Petit Verdot. A brew master and tea specialist, Johann Graue, understood long before the rest, that you must begin with the best raw materials. He planted the vines and selected only the top performers for his wines, creating a new, quality benchmark. Made from handpicked, hand-sorted grapes fermented on the skins in open fermenters and tanks, and given extended skin contact after alcoholic fermentation. Aged in a combination of new and older 300-liter French oak for 24 months.
