Mooiplaas Langtafel Red 2010

The object with the Langtafel range is a sophisticated and easy-drinking wine with good value that can be enjoyed at any occasion with family and friends. 2010 was a good vintage for reds, producing wines with intense color and fine berry flavors. Oak staves were added after blending to enhance complexity without losing sight of the initial objective, i.e. a soft and very drinkable, fruit driven wine.

41% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Shiraz, 12% Cabernet Franc. Mooiplaas (meaning beautiful farm) is situated outside Stellenbosch, high in the Bottelary Hills (a ward of the famous Stellenbosch wine district), in the heart of the Cape winelands. The estate has been the home of the Roos family, owned and managed, since 1963. Family and friends celebrate life at the famous Mooiplaas "Langtafel," a seasonal luncheon held in the manor house on the estate.
