With so many sins committed, Michael and David's consciences were starting to wear thin. There must be a way to repent all of our sins! With redemption in mind, the two brothers thought long and hard for a way to clean the slate for their forsaken past. At first thought, confession seemed just. On second thought, a Chardonnay seemed to be the fix- a Heavenly Chardonnay at that. Seven Heavenly Chardonnay serves as a sister bottling to the Seven Deadly Zins. Needless to say, Mike and Dave have been redeemed!
The Phillips family has been farming since Andrew Harshner and his wife Lucille homesteaded 160 acres near the town of Lodi, following the Civil War in the 1860s. Originally devoted to vegetables, the Phillips' farm evolved to include many different fruits, including 15 different wine varietals that were shipped throughout the country during Prohibition with instructions on "how not to have the grapes turn into wine." These days, Michael and David Phillips represent the fifth generation of growers in Lodi with their 650 acres of premium wine grapes.
