Mercer Estates Merlot 2012

Aromas of ripe cherries and blackberries are laced with hints of warm baking spices. The lush fruit flavors are framed with supple, velvety tannins and balanced acidity. Well integrated oak adds a touch of complexity to the nose and roundness in the mouth. This lovely wine is both powerful and elegant, making it a perfect wine to pair with a meal. Made with 87% Merlot, 8% Syrah, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. The Mercer family homesteaded in Washington State and for over a century, we have been stewards of this land – always striving to provide a life more abundant for all. In 1972, they became the founding grape growers in the now famed Horse Heaven Hills AVA. In this tradition, the agriculturalists of Mercer Estates are dedicated to producing distinctive wines through a balanced approach to grape growing and winemaking. In finding balance – in their land, their community and their wines – they are able to express the true characteristics of our vineyards in every glass.
