Mercer Estates Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
The nose is bursting with ripe dark cherries and berries dusted with cocoa powder and warm, fragrant spices like cinnamon and clove. The lush fruit continues on the palate, contributing to the round and full mouth feel. The well integrated oak and sleek tannins lead into a velvety finish, with a nice touch of acidity on the end. This wine is a lovely balance of power and elegance. Made with 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 4% Syrah, 2% Malbec, 1% Petit Verdot The Mercer family homesteaded in Washington State and for over a century, we have been stewards of this land – always striving to provide a life more abundant for all. In 1972, they became the founding grape growers in the now famed Horse Heaven Hills AVA. In this tradition, the agriculturalists of Mercer Estates are dedicated to producing distinctive wines through a balanced approach to grape growing and winemaking. In finding balance – in their land, their community and their wines – they are able to express the true characteristics of our vineyards in every glass.
