Mastroberardino Falanghina del Sannio 2017
Pale straw-yellow color with greenish hues. Fresh and fruity perfume with notes of citrus, pineapple and white flowers. Very fresh and persistent flavor, with a pleasant, fruity aftertaste.
A very balanced and versatile wine, from its complex and very personal character, that is well suited as an aperitif or for accompanying fish and shellfish platters (such as seafood stews and crab ceviche), gremolata sauces, or bucatini alla puttanesca.
100% Falanghina. The Mastroberardino family has been involved in winemaking for almost three centuries. Official records suggest that in the 1700s someone named Berardino, with the professional Mastro ("master craftsman") title, founded the company's headquarters in Atripalda, in the heart of the Irpinia winemaking region. Since then, the Mastroberardino family's holdings have spread across several parts of Irpinia, in areas which have historically been proven to be the production center of the region's great wines. Since the installation of a series of paintings - masterpieces from artists like Raffaele De Rosa, Maria Micozzi, and Doina Botez - their cellars have also become a fine arts gallery of sorts visited by people from all over the world.
