The Marziano Abbona Nebbiolo comes from the small Bricco Barone vineyard in the commune of Monforte. The vineyard sits at 1200 feet above sea level and has vines averaging 25–40 years old.
100% Nebbiolo. The Abbona family has been cultivating vineyards in Piedmont since before the 1920s, but it was not until the 1970s that Marziano began bottling wines under the Abbona name, including the famous bottling from the Doriolo vineyard that was dedicated to his late father, "Papa Celso." The Marziano Abbona estate is located in Dogliani, Piedmont, bordering Barolo's famous Monforte commune.
