Mark West Winery Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir 2013

Mark West Winery was founded in 1978 with one desire only: To craft remarkable California Pinot Noir that delivers exceptional quality at an affordable price. With equal parts patience, hard work, and passion, they've followed their dream from vineyard to barrel to bottle, rewarded by knowing that Pinot lovers savor every glass just as much as they do. Situated above the famed Salinas Valley, Santa Lucia Pinot Noirs are renowned for the breadth and depth of their fruit characteristics. Mark West's Santa Lucia Pinot Noir from this famed region displays intense colors, distinct layers of fruit with naturally high acids and a touch of earthy minerality. Wild blackberry, ripe black cherries, and delicate herbal flavors show against French oak notes of toast and chocolate. Rich fruit textures balanced by integrated silky tannins effortlessly showcase the quality of this historic farming region. Pairs perfectly with mushroom ravioli, salmon sushi, or pork tenderloin.
