Maison Bleue Jaja G.S.M. 2011
Maison Bleue is a family-owned winery dedicated to the production of terroir-driven wines from designated vineyards and appellations located across Washington State. They focus primarily on Rhone varieties such as Grenache, Syrah, Marsanne, and Viognier, as well as Chardonnay. Their winemaking is an uncompromised style of traditional techniques, gentle handling and a modest use of French oak. Our wines combine European sensibility with a controlled New World opulence. Jaja is a southern French expression for a great, everyday wine.
37% Grenache, 37% Syrah, 26% Mourvedre. Captivating aromas of black licorice, tar, violets, orange peel, blackberries, and white peppercorns lead to an intense, silky, savory wine with lots of roasted herbs, minerals, spice notes, meat, and black fruit flavors on the palate. This wine pairs well with beef, lamb, wild game, rich flavored stews, and mild, firm savory cheeses.
