Louis Latour Marsannay Rouge 2016
Made with 100% Pinot Noir. Bright in colour with lovely garnet glints, our Marsannay rouge 2014 offers delicious aromas of black fruits such as blueberry, cherry and cassis , along with peppery notes. The palate is fresh with aromas of cherry, wild raspberry and subtle smoky hints. The tannins are nicely lingering on the finish. Since 1797, Louis Latour has had a great tradition of harvesting and vinifying superb white and red burgundies. Marsannay is the most northerly village in the Cotes de Nuits, just 3.7 miles to the southwest of Dijon. Here starts the Route des Grands Crus which goes through the Cote d'Or vineyards. Wines from Marsannay are generally lively and robust; characteristics that come from the rich iron soil. As a result, Marsannay received its Appellation Controlee in 1987 in recognition of the consistently high quality of its wine.
