Ripe huckleberries, briar patch fruit, and backyard plum are evident on the nose. On the palate, this wine demonstrates dark tones of blackberries, new tobacco leaf, and dark chocolate. Pairs well with rack of lamb infused with rosemary and cabernet au jus, a simple BBQ hamburger, or cream-based cheeses.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon. In 1996, after falling in love with the rugged coastline, picturesque towns, and camouflaged hills of Santa Barbera County, Bill Foley founded Lincourt Vineyards and Foley Family Wines in California's Santa Ynez Valley. The estate takes its name from Bill Foley's daughters, Lindsay and Courtney. With a total of 1,700 acres of vineyards, the Foley family owns two estate vineyards in Santa Ynez and two more located within the Sta. Rita Hills region (largely undiscovered back in 1996 but today it is one of California's most coveted, cool-climate, viticultural regions). At Lincourt, there are many sources of tribute and inspiration for their wines— from the name of the winery to the small-lot bottlings of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that bear the names of the women who have influenced and shaped Bill Foley's life to their two estate vineyards in the Sta. Rita Hills region. Our La Cuesta Cabernet Sauvignon has become synonymous with approachability and certain fruit-forward sensibility. Ideally, this wine should be consumed in its youth with foods that are rich and can sustain this wine's fine-grain tannins and medium-bodied structure.
