There's no Alice Cooper in his iTunes library, but Alec is 18—and he likes it! For his college Freshman year send-off Lewis Cellars blended syrah, merlot, and cabernet sauvignon—a power trio of guitar, bass, and drums that rocks harder than any vintage in recent memory. Super ripe blackberry, vanilla blueberry, mocha, and oak spices gain presence and steadily push the volume past 10. Tons of ripe, hedonistic fruit brings big stage presence while handsomely hewn tannins add drive and keep this wall of sound distortion free.

60% Syrah, 22% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon. In 1992, Debbie and Randy Lewis, a former Indy car driver, established a small family winery in Napa Valley and were later joined by their son Dennis in 1999. Total production is approximately 9,000 cases annually of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, syrah, chardonnay, and sauvignon blanc. They are literally hands-on in every aspect of vineyard management, winemaking, sales, and distribution, and they thrive on this challenge and the relationships they cultivate in the process. The Lewis family is driven to create world-class wines. This unique blend of syrah, merlot, and cabernet sauvignon was named after Dennis's first son "Alec."
