Lanciola Vin Santo del Chianti Colli Fiorentini 2004

Vin Santo del Chianti Colli Fiorentini is a Tuscan dessert wine of refinement, great balance, and excellence. Intense gold-yellow with slight red notes of antique gold. Very complex and fruity, with hints of dried and candied yellow fruits: apricot, acacia honey, and orange peel, with floral touches of yellow flowers. Complex, sweet, silky, and rich flavor, with a persistent fruity aftertaste of candied fruit accompanied by a good final tension that enhances the sweet notes of fruit. Excellent accompaniment for all kinds of dessert and cakes.

Trebbiano and Malvasia. Azienda Agricola Lanciola is located just a few miles outside Florence in the rolling hills of Impruneta, in the Colli Fiorentini region. Immersed in the Tuscan countryside amidst olive groves, cypress trees, and vineyards, the estate totals around 190 acres - half of it is covered with vineyards with the remainder devoted to olive groves. In Medicean times the estate belonged to the noble Ricci family, who also produced wine in their day. Today, the Guarnieri family manages the estate.
