Lancatay Cabernet Sauvignon 2007
Cabernet Sauvignon | Argentina
The Agrelo and Lujan de Cuyo subregions sit just to the southwest of the city of Mendoza, in the foothills of the massive Andes Mountain range to the west. The soils are quite poor, which causes the roots of the vines to seek deep sources of nourishment, and subsequently improve the fruit. Agrelo, in particular, also benefits from a very cool climate, which slows/evens the ripening process and makes for excellent Chardonnay fruit.
Grown, produced, and bottled by Huarpe Wines. In the 19th Century, the Toso family was among the Italian pioneers that established viticulture in Mendoza, Argentina. Today, the family's winemaking tradition continues with Huarpe Wines, named after the first inhabitants of Mendoza.
