La Verdosa First Wine 2010
Very dense, garnet-red color. Powerful aromas and concentration of fruit with strawberries and blueberries. Full bodied, meaty, long, and well rounded in the mouth. Pair with red meat, barbecue, or pasta dishes.
60% Syrah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot. Produced and bottled by La Verdosa , owned by Bodegas Arrayan, which was founded by entrepreneur Jose Maria Entrecanales and his wife, Maria Marsans. They dreamt of creating a vineyard that uses innovative viticultural techniques in perfect harmony with the ecosystem of the Mediterranean grassland (dehesa) to create high-quality DOC wine with strong personalities. So, a vineyard was built on their La Verdosa estate, which is located in Santa Cruz del Retamar, Toledo. Their very first vintage went on sale at the end of 2003. Since then, Arrayan has expanded its family of wines and currently has an excellent line, including two separate labels called "La Verdosa" and "Estela de Arrayan."
