Grown in Clarksburg, this Pinot Noir boasts intense aromas of red cherry and chocolate. Soft notes of ripe black cherry and strawberry jam on the palate. A kiss of oak brings out hints of sandalwood and cinnamon to a smooth and lasting finish.

Red Sancerre perfectly illustrate the virtues of the Pinot Noir grape variety. They are fragrant, elegant, fine and they have delicate aromas of red berries, ranging from cherries to blackcurrants. The vines for Dignitary Pinot Noir are heavily influenced by the Petaluma Gap which is a wind gap named after a coastal mountain opening that stretches east from the Pacific. This, combined with maritime breezes, keep day-time temperatures low, creating the perfect environment for growing Pinot Noir. The wine is aged unfiltered for 10 months in 100% French oak barrels. The result is an elegant expression of red and black fruit with subtle hints of spice.

A distant hint of cherry appears on the nose but gains in intensity with more air. The palate is light and comes with easy, ripe cherry charm. The body is smooth, balanced and fresh.
