Kilbeggan is a traditional Irish whiskey, double distilled, the old way, to preserve more flavor whilst retaining the classic Irish smoothness. The Kilbeggan distillery was founded in 1757 and is Ireland' oldest continually licensed distillery - and to this day still has its own working waterwheel.
The Kilbeggan Distillery is the oldest licensed distillery in Ireland. It is more than a historic relic, a reminder of how Kilbeggan was made in times now past. Distilling recommenced in 2007 and the warehouses are used for maturation of their traditional Irish whiskey, Kilbeggan. The original whitewashed walls, weathered slate roof, brick chimney stack and creaking timber water wheel remain in tact thanks to a labor of love from their locals.
