100% Trepat. Produced and bottled by Mas Foraster. Located in Central Catalunya, Conca de Barbera benefits from the maritime influence from the Mediterranean sea. It is well known for its production of cava, but it is also home to Mas Foraster, one of the first producer to make a red wine from Trepat, a native grape that is typically reserved for rose wines and cavas. Using estate fruit only, the family-owned Celler Mas Foraster practices integrated farming of 72 acres. Ricard Foraster, who is the third generation wine maker of this estate, is a young, talented winemaker dedicated to express the local varieties to their maximum portential including trepat, tempranillo, and macabeu.
