Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignon Cask 2011
Subtle and round on the palate, the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Cask offers fragrant notes of boysenberries, cherries, blackcurrant, and leather. Flavor intensity increases on the mid-palate with beautiful impressions of red fruits, spices, and coffee. This vintage bestows a supple texture with soft tannins and smooth, even transitions, giving it a particularly elegant style.
85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc, 3% Merlot. The great Inglenook wine estate was divided in 1964. Eleven years later, Francis Ford Coppola and his wife Eleanor bought the Niebaum family home on 1,600 acres of land, including vineyareds. By later acquiring the Inglenook chateau and front vineyards in 1995, the Coppola family restored the estate to its original historic dimension. The trademark was purchased in 2011, and the property is once again and forever named "Inglenook." Cask Cabernet Sauvignon was first created here in 1949, and is regarded as the preeminent cabernet of the Napa Valley. This estate-grown wine is aged in both French and American oak barrels, and continues the tradition of excellence.
