Ruby red in color, with an intense nose of ripe red berries, and the toasty scent of 12 months in barrel.
This wine comes from vineyards on the slopes surrounding Montalcino in Tuscany. The area is known for production of Brunello, a dark-skinned, low-yielding clone of Sangiovese, although the Rosso is made from the fruit of the younger vines, for a lighter style. Mellow and well rounded, with a smooth mouth-feel and satisfyingly chewy tannins. Enjoy with rare grilled beef steaks and portabello mushrooms.
