Helix Pomatia 2005
Out of the press with currant affairs. You don't need to write this down because the nose is already scribed by pencil and currrant, that with time develops into berries with coffee followed by chocolate. The body of the article accentuates rhubarb, plum, and cherry paralleled by fine tannins. It's versatile profile pairs well with spaghetti to fillet mignon. 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 8% Syrah. Produced and bottled by Reininger Winery. The name Helix honors Reininger's grandparents and a family-farming tradition that dates back to the late 1800s. Marvin and Erva Tucker met at Helix High School, fell in love, married, and began farming on their own. Their generation's goal of building a new winery was made possible by the sale of land near Helix in 2003.
